Reading Your Tying Partner in Suspension

This is a class for rope partners who want to have better verbal and nonverbal communication while doing rope suspensions in order to co-craft more intense scenes (and/or enchanting performances). This is an intermediate-level (experienced with full suspension) class with prerequisites noted below.

After negotiation, there’s not a lot of words exchanged once the rope goes on for most scenes. But if the scene is going well, there is a ton of non-verbal communication between partners. In this class, we discuss ways to have negotiations that set up tying partners for success and co-craft/create sustainable and memorable scenes that meet the intentions of the top and the bottom. We will also address anticipating, reading, and responding to nonverbal cues (particularly those associated with anxiety/fear, pain/pain management, and pleasure/sub-or top-space) so you have better insight to what your rope partner is experiencing and can adjust accordingly.
