Our "why"

Our truth is, rope is an art form. Spaces that cram few hard points in the corner simply do not provide artists and practitioners the kind of atmosphere they can fully sink into. Rope is an inherently aesthetically informed practice, and environment matters.

When the opportunity to open a space presented itself, we saw it as a chance to bring into being the kind of space we had always wanted to tie in. The heart of Flower and Snake is our custom designed, hand built rope structure. The traditional construction ties our contemporary, Western iteration of rope to its historical and cultural lineage. The natural materials, earthy colors and low lighting are all intentionally brought together to create an environment where intensity has space to unfold. We hope our rope lounge will be for you what it is for us; a place where artistic dreams come true.
